BEACON KC DESIGN TRADE PROGRAM TERMS OF ELIGIBILITY / PROGRAM AGREEMENT
This Design Trade Program Letter of Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions of the Design Trade Program of BEACON KC.
The Design Trade Program and the Agreement are subject to change at BEACON KC’s sole discretion.
Once eligibility is met, and subject to the terms of this Agreement, members participating in the Design Trade Program will receive special pricing on merchandise (excluding antique and one-of-a-kind items) purchased at BEACON KC. Rights and rewards under this Agreement are non-transferable.
TERMS OF ELIGIBILITY
a. An applicant who is an accredited professional designer, including but not limited to an interior designer, architect or home stager, will be eligible for participation in BEACON KC’s Design Trade Program (and referenced herein as a “Member”) upon approval by BEACON KC after presentation of the following:
1. A completed and signed (or submitted online) Application form.
2. A Business Card indicating the applicant’s design profession or a design firm website listing the applicant’s name; a copy of the applicant’s Business License or Resale Certificate showing proof of a design-based business; or a valid membership card from a professional organization such as (but not limited to) ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), IDS (Interior Design Society), or the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association). This can be shown in-person at BEACON KC, or scanned and e-mailed to virginia@beaconkc.com
b. membership.
1. Member’s name and business address must be provided on the application. Note: The eligible Member must be an individual and not a design firm or entity; multiple individuals employed by a single design firm or entity may apply individually by submitting individual application materials and gaining approval, but the design firm or entity itself may not become a Design Trade Program Member.
2. It is the responsibility of the Member to notify BEACON KC of any changes in their contact information.
3. Member is the only person authorized to make purchases using their Design Trade Program card.
4. BEACON KC reserves the right to review and terminate a Member’s eligibility if BEACON KC believes, in its sole discretion, that Member has violated the terms of this Agreement. BEACON KC will notify the Member that they are no longer eligible to participate in the program.
5. BEACON KC may discontinue the program at any time and at their sole discretion.
c. discount.
1. Eligible Members will receive special pricing that is BEACON KC’s total incurred costs plus 25%. This allows BEACON KC to continue to be able to provide trade members with deep discounts on area rugs and often results in a much better discount than a set percentage off. Discount is non-negotiable. Discount is not available on antique or one-of-a-kind rugs.
2. Discount may not be combined with any other offers, coupons or promotions, and cannot be applied to reduced price, sale, closeout or clearance merchandise as it is based on actual cost, not listed price. If the clearance price of a stock item is less than trade pricing, BEACON KC will honor the lowest price.
3. Discount does not apply to any purchases made prior to enrollment in the Design Trade Program.
4. The Design Trade Program discount is not redeemable for cash.
5. BEACON KC reserves the right to change the list of items not eligible for the Design Trade Program discount at any time and at its sole discretion.
d. purchase & payment terms.
1. To make a purchase, Member must present their Design Trade Program card along with an accepted form of picture ID (e.g., driver’s license, state ID).
2. Member may have their client pay for a purchase using the client’s credit card or other legal tender..
3. Member (or in accordance with the above rule, member’s client) will be responsible for payment of any and all taxes, services charges and other fees on the discounted amounts, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.
4. Product returns are subject to the applicable return policy and will be credited (as applicable) at the membership discount rate.
E. resale & tax-exempt purchases.
1. A resale license/certificate must be provided ahead of or at time of purchase for resale exempt Design Trade Program members. Merchandise must be sold in the name that is on the certificate.
2. Tax-exempt sales will require a state sales tax exemption form prior to or at the time of sale. Merchandise must be sold in the name of the entity on the certificate.
F. communication and privacy.
1. BEACON KC may contact Members or design firm directly regarding changes to the Design Trade Program.
2. Design Trade Program Member will automatically be opted-in to receive BEACON KC emails for marketing purposes. Member may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
