Stephen Eckard was inducted into the flooring business at age 9, when his father opened the first Eckard’s Flooring Design Center. Since then, he’s continued the family business’ legacy of success and dedication to service and quality, with BEACON being the newest way to reach and help customers. Stephen is proud to continue on his experience in entrepreneurship and is excited to see how BEACON shakes up the retail industry.

With a background in fashion design and textiles, Virginia loves using her passion and skills as a BEACON style consultant to help customers fine-tune their designs. As store manager, Virginia also handles the ins and outs of BEACON, from handling orders and working with customers to keeping the store’s vision front and center.

Kassidy is an interior design student with a great eye for color and patterns. She loves to enthusiastically help customers search for the perfect rug to bring them joy every time they look at it. Kassidy is the newest member of the team and has been shining brightly in her time at Beacon.

Joining the family business, Alex blends his background in photography and knowledge of flooring to create BEACON’s solid foundation and projection system. As the store’s co-founder and strategist, he focuses on creative problem solving to help BEACON provide unique and memorable shopping experiences for customers. And, as a Kansas City-based photographer, understands the importance of building a brand that features and supports local artists.
